Certificated Trading

Although in recent years the popularity of holding your own share certificates has declined in favour of online nominee accounts we know that it still plays an important role in many investors' portfolios.

We therefore provide the straightforward postal dealing service which enables you to buy and sell certificated shares by simply completing the forms through our website, printing them out and sending them to us along with your existing certificate(s) for sales or a cheque for the cost of buys. We charge a simple commission of 1.25% of the trade value, minimum of £12 and maximum of £40. There is no need to open an account with us to use this service, you simply select from options to buy or sell below.

If you are a frequent trader you may wish to consider opening an online stockbroking account and depositing your existing share certificates into it. For that option see our Online Trading Account section.

  1. Decide which share you want to buy. This can be any one of the shares listed in the FTSE 350 index.
  2. Decide how much money you want to invest.
  3. Click the button below and complete the online forms.
  4. Print out the forms, sign them and post them to us along with a cheque for the cost.
